Plants grow best between PH 6.0 - 7.2

On Acid soil Lime, Chalk, Oyster shell, Wood ash will help bring it back to Neutral

Nitrogen (N) = plant growth, leaf development & greenery

Phosphorous (P) = root growth & creation of fruit, seed & flowers

Potassium or Potash (K) = root development & resists drought & disease

Evergreen = Leaves stay on

Semi-evergreen

Deciduous = Leaves go

Perennials = livings for more that two years normally dying back and coming back up the following season
