Can you keep a secret?
A ridiculous story about a husband who because of a mix up at the funeral parlour they think that Dawn French's husband is dead. So she gets a death certificate and they get all the money from an insurance company. Trouble is that their son is married to a WPC. A few funny lines but not enough.
I'm upto episode 6 and feel like deleting the rest but there are very little comedy programmes around and very little 1/2 programmes. When I'm bored I will use the recorded series as a filler.
Bing watched The Night Manager to remember series 1. Excellent especially with the three stars Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie (Mr. Roper) & Tom Hollander.
Now watching Series 2 but acting now all down to one famous face Hiddleston so not as thrilling. Series 1 you had the scary of High and Hollander. So far upto episode 2 doesn't have that excitement and is a bit weird. Episode 3 they are going to kill him, then not, then yes, then money arrives just before they put an anchor on him for deep sea diving. So he is saved. Next "would you like breakfast" But the ending has a twist.
Bing watched Mar of Easttown series 1. Top acting by Kate Winslet very funny in places but also very compelling. Twist after twist where you thought it was A, B, C but then it was D. Couldn't wait for each single episode. Can't wait for Series 2 which is scheduled for late 2027.
Under Salt Marsh episode 1 & 2 had been slated but I am enjoying it. The scenery is awful with most scenes being filmed of a night in the pouring rain in a sad town with sad people with little hope. Kelly Reilly is pretty bad and has this slow doey eyed way of acting. Rafe Spall looks totally bored and to me he comes off as a natural bored policeman that is pissed off with his ex-colleague. He should be pissed with his ex-colleague or should I say his ex-boss because she is interfering in the murder of young boy found in the local ditch. The under lying story is that he didn't back whilst in the police and she resigns. So they are no longer buddy buddy but have to work together to solve the murder. I will wait and see how it turns out.
Blackshore set in Ireland is still on TV but watched it to the end. Very good. A moody not nonsense defective returns to her home town and eventually solves murders but there are several twists before the end. With watching.
Watched the final of Only Connect - same.
