The Who, Kaiser Chiefs, Emelda May + more at Wembley

Updated: Jul 10, 2019

Sorry unable to load photographs.

6th July 2019 Saturday afternoon.

1540hrs – Conor Selby Band on stage

Very good, near on heavy rock band with some excellent guitar work by the two main men. 1625hrs – Imelda May on stage

The Dubliner has a great voice but it seemed slightly muffled at times by the sound system. Lead guitarist was excellent. 1720hrs – Kaiser Chiefs on stage

Really got the audience going with Ricky being a master of showmanship. Great to hear their favourites as well as some mastery guitar. 1830hrs – Eddie Vedder on stage

Several t shirts wearers with Pearl Jam or Eddie Vedder on their backs but sorry I can't remember EV in my memory banks and I know why. He is labelled as being in the top 7 of lead singers but I found his voice more shouty and harsh than that of a top singer. He bought on Pete Townshend brother who had a better voice but nearly an hour playing acoustic and a ukelele was not for me. He did play about two electrics which were better but obviously I have not got an acquired taste but I did find it bizarre to go from ukelele player to one of the best bands in the world - surreal.

2000hrs – The Who on stage

What can you say, just superb and to see Pete Townshend play guitar in the fresh will say with me forever. Long may you reign.
